BTS256-LED-150, -300 and –500 for Large Size LEDs

Large size LEDs or LED arrays require larger size integrat-
ing spheres than the one built into the BTS256-LED tester.
For these applications the BTS256-LED tester can be or-
dered with larger diameter integrating spheres from 150mm
(6 in) with port diameter

50mm (2 in) and 500mm (20 in) with

75mm (3 in) diameter. The add-on sphere and BTS256-
LED tester are calibrated together and therefore form one
inseparable unit.
The BTS256-LED tester mounts to the integrating sphere
with a UMPA-1.5-BTS256LED adapter on UMPF-1.5-HL
port frame out of Gigahertz-Optik’s unique modular UM in-
tegrating sphere family.

odular concept
For accurate measurements independent of the substitution
effect caused by the DUT blocking the measurement port
the use of an auxiliary lamp is needed. The auxiliary lamp
employs a high power halogen lamp to meet the required
flux levels. If a power supply with interface is available, e.g.
Gigahertz-Optik’s LPS-100, the substitution correction rou-
tine can be supported by the G.O.O.S. software.
