8.3 Bad radial cut of jacket pipe
Possible cause Solution
The saw blade of the rotary saw is
worn out. Replace saw blade, see separate Makita
manual.
The locking pin did not lock into
radial position after longitudinal
cut. Lock the locking pin after turning the rotary
saw.
Rotary saw stops during the
cutting. Check the battery of the rotary saw or if a spac-
er is between media pipe and jacket pipe
8.4 Jacket pipe can’t be removed
Possible cause Solution
The radial cut has not been done
over the complete pipe circumfer-
ence Repeat radial cut
8.5 Schaumelement lässt sich nicht entfernen
Mögliche Ursache Abhilfe
Foam element can’t be removed
without higher forces or can’t be
remove at all from the inner pipe Check if radial cut has been deep enough. Only
use saw blades recommended by GF
The radial cut has not been done
over the complete pipe circumfer-
ence Repeat radial cut
8.6 No or incomplete peeling of the inner pipe
Possible cause Solution
The peeling blade is blunt Replace peeling blade and peel again
Spindle nut is not locked Put spindle nut to position ‘closed’ when
peeling
