Installation notes
IMPORTANT! ESSENTIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE INSTALLATION!
Please take note of all instructions. Faulty installations can lead to serious
injuries.
The drive has been designed exclusively for use in dry rooms.
Only use cables in accordance with the specification in the wiring diagram.
For flex always use insulated end sleeves for the strands.
In order to avoid injury, make sure to cover protruding threads of the fixing bolts
with cover caps.
Check that the ambient temperature range specified on the drive is suitable for
the application location.
Safety-conscious working and using
Secure the working area against unauthorised access. Take account of long parts
of the system swinging out.
Before carrying out work on the electrical system, the power supply must be iso-
lated and the system checked to ensure that it is not live. Where an uninterrup-
tible power supply (UPS) is used, the system will be ‘live’ even if it is disconnected
from the mains network.
There is a risk of injury when the drive is open due to moving parts (hair and
clothing can be pulled in).
There is a risk of injury through unsecured areas where trapping, impact, breaka-
ge and pulling in can occur.
Risk of injury through glass breakage.
When setting up the drive, only operate with button control. Touching the win-
dow system during operation can lead to injuries.
Testing the fitted system
Check the guarding/devices that serve to protect against any injuries through
trapping, impact, breakage or hair etc. being pulled in.
Disposal of window system
The window system consists of materials that should be disposed of into a recyc-
ling process.
For that purpose, the individual components should be sorted by their material
group.
- Aluminium (profiles),
- iron (bolts, chain, …)
- plastic,
- electronic components (motor, controls, transformer, relays, …)
- cable
These parts can be disposed of through an appropriate recycling organisation.
When using bottom-hung windows, the use of a safety catch is mandatory.
