DAMPER PEDAL
With this function you can change the behaviour of the damper (or sustain) pedal of your
digital piano. When it comes to acoustic pianos, the damper pedal cannot only be switched
on and off but can be played in a nuanced manner (“half-pedaling“). Furthermore, the
strings resonate when the pedal is depressed (“damper resonance“). These two features
are simulated by your digital piano which contributes to a highly natural sound result.
To adjust the damper pedal settings, proceed as follows:
1. Enter the “Piano Settings“ Menu (-> see page 31) and navigate to the
submenu “Damper Pedal“ by using the upper/lower cursor keys.
2. Enter the submenu by pressing the right cursor key. The following
settings are adjustable now:
•
Half-Pedal Point:
Here you can define the point at which half-
pedaling should be activated when the damper pedal is depressed.
•
Damper Resonance:
Determine, how intensively the resonance
noise should be added when depressing the damper pedal.
3. Use the Exit softbutton to leave the menu.

SYMPATHETIC RESONANCE
When pressing a key on an acoustic piano, some strings start resonating indirectly. This
behaviour is simulated by your GEWA digital piano which contributes to a significantly
natural sound. You can define the intensity of this feature here.
To adjust the string resonance, proceed as follows:
1. Enter the “Piano Settings“ Menu (-> see page 31) and navigate to
the submenu “Sympathetic Resonance“ by using the upper/lower
cursor keys.
2. With the right/left cursor keys, adjust the setting as desired. Check
the result by playing on the keyboard.
3. Use the Exit softbutton to leave the menu.

the submenu “Una Corda level“ by using the upper/lower cursor
keys.
