[QoS Settings]
The Quality of Service (QoS) is a bandwidth control mechanism that
guarantees delay-sensitive data flows such as voice and video streams, obtain a certain
amount of bandwidth to keep the streaming smooth.
To apply QoS to the fisheye camera, all network routers must support QoS and QoS must be
enabled on these devices. To enable the QoS on the camera, enter a Differentiated Services
Code Point (DSCP) value. This value is a field in an IP packet that enables different levels of
services for the network traffic. When the video stream from the camera reaches a router,
the DSCP value will tell the router what service level to be applied, e.g. the bandwidth
amount. This value ranges from 0 to 63 in decimal format. The default value is 0, meaning
QoS is disabled.
[Network Connection Check Settings]
The camera checks for Internet connection, and
reboots when it is disconnected from the Internet. This function is enabled by default.
Note:
If you do not intend to connect the camera to the network, disable this function to
prevent automatic reboot.
