How to Adjust the
Lift Relief Valve
Note: Be sure that the hydraulic oil level is within
the top 2 inches / 5 cm of the sight gauge.
1 Connect a 0 to 5000 psi / 0 to 350 bar pressure
gauge to test port #2 (item FX) on the function
manifold.
2 Place the maximum rated load in the platform.
Secure the load to the platform. Refer to
Section 2,
Specifications.
3 Turn the key switch to ground control and pull
out the red Emergency Stop button to the on
position at both the ground and platform
controls.
4 Start the engine from the ground controls.
5 Press and hold the lift function enable button
and move the platform up/down toggle switch in
the up direction. Allow the platform to raise
completely, then continue activating the lift
function while observing the pressure reading
on the pressure gauge. Note the pressure.
Refer to Section 2,
Specifications.
6 Turn the engine off. Hold the lift relief valve with
a wrench and remove the cap (item FS).
7 Adjust the internal hex socket. Turn it clockwise
to increase the pressure or counterclockwise to
decrease the pressure. Install the relief valve
cap.
Tip-over hazard. Failure to adjust
the relief valve as instructed will
cause the machine to tip over
resulting in death or serious injury.
Do not adjust the relief valve
higher than specified.
8 Repeat this procedure beginning with step 4 to
confirm the relief valve pressure.
