Activate Rem ote Access
Your phone lets you check your messages, or otherw ise operate your answ ering
machine, by calling the answ ering machine w hen you are aw ay from home by
entering a 4-digit remote access PIN on a tone-dialing phone. Use the 4-digit remote
access PIN code to prevent other people from unauthorized access of your answering
machine.

and enter the old PIN (default remote access PIN is 0000).

and enter your new 4-digit PIN.
