Installation guide
Select Install Location
Indoor unit
z
The air inlet and outlet vent should be kept far away from obstruction so that air can be blown
to the entire room;
z
Select a location where it is easy to drain condensed water and connect to the outdoor unit;
z
Keep away from heat resource, steam and flammable gas;
z
Select a location where it is possible to withstand the weight of indoor unit without increasing
the running noise and vibrations.
z
Make sure the installation of indoor unit meets requirements of the installation dimensions
diagram;
z
Make sure there is enough space for maintenance or repair and height between the indoor
unit and the floor should be greater than 200 cm;
z
Place the unit in a place with at least 1m away from TV, Hi-fi and other home appliances;
z
Place the unit in a place where it is easy to pull out the air filters.
Outdoor unit
z
Select a location where the noise and flow of air exhaust will not affect your neighbors
z
Select a location with good ventilation to ensure good ventilation for the outdoor unit;
z
There should be no obstacles around the outdoor unit, which may block the air inlet or air
outlet of the unit;
z
Installation location should be able to withstand the weight and vibration of outdoor unit and
make installation work proceed safely.
z
Select a location without leakage of inflammable or corrosive gases;
z
Make sure the installation of outdoor unit meets requirements of the installation dimensions
diagram.
Note:
Installing the air conditioner in the following locations might cause malfunction of the air
conditioner. If this is unavoidable please contact the special service center of GREE.
z
Location full of machine oil.
z
Seaside saline and alkali districts.
z
Location containing sulphurate gas (such as sulphurate hot spring).
z
Location with high frequency equipment, such as radio equipment, welding equipment and
medical equipment
z
Location with special environmental conditions
