Testing the Cooling Unit
Before installing the cooling unit, it should be tested to
make sure that no shipping damage has occurred.
Step 1:
Remove the cooling unit from the shipping
carton and place it in on sturdy, level work
surface. It is recommended that a piece of
cardboard be placed underneath the cooling
unit to prevent damage to the finish.
Step 2:
Locate the by-pass plug and insert it in the
thermostat socket on the front of the unit.
Step 3:
Remove the power cord receptacle cover.
Plug the cooling unit into a grounded 110 VAC
socket on a dedicated 30-amp circuit.
Step 4:
Set the switch to ON. The system may require
10 to 15 minutes to start cooling.
Step 5:
Once operation has been tested, set the
power switch to OFF and unplug the unit,
then remove the by-pass plug.
