Service.
Purchase part (most standard hardware parts) from local
hardware store.
System leaks water
Tighten System Cap.
Check O-ring is in place, is clean and is intact.
Ensure connections are tight.
Replace broken part from an over tightened connection.
Rewrap thread connections with new Teflon® tape. Do not
reuse Teflon® tape.
System water flow is noticeably
reduced
Check if Thimble Filter in UFC 207, UF 207, UFC209,
UF209, UFC 211 or UF 211 Series is clogged.
Depressurize System, remove System Cap and Internal
Prefilter, remove Thimble Filter using a pair of needle nose
pliers, clean Thimble Filter and reinsert Thimble Filter.
Check if External Prefilter is clogged, if installed. Refer to
l.
rEPlaCEMEnT ParT liST anD PrOCEDUrES
.
Check if Internal Prefilter is clogged. Refer to
l.
rEPlaCEMEnT ParT liST anD PrOCEDUrES.
Check Trans Membrane Pressure and perform a Cleaning if
necessary as described in
G. annUal MainTEnanCE
.
Check if Drain Solenoid Valve functions. A malfunctioning
valve will increase the rate of the membrane fouling. Refer
to
Controller functions
section under
E. inSTallaTiOn
inSTrUCTiOnS,
initiate a manual flush and verify Drain
Solenoid Valve is working. Replace valve if necessary.
Water does not flow through
System
Black cap on Air Vent must be backed off by 1.5 turns from
tight to allow air in and out of System.
If UF 100 with Surface Water Option Kit or a modelwith an
optional Surface Water Option Kit is installed, check if Inlet
Solenoid Valve is in the normally open position. Using
teh Controller, innitiate a manual flush sequence while
simultaneously pressing the down arrow and hold for a full
5 seconds. Refer to
Controller functions
section under
E. inSTallaTiOn inSTrUCTiOnS
on how to perform a
manual flush sequence. A buzz sound should be heard from
the Inlet Solenoid Valve. Replace valve if necessary.
Checking Backpulse
Tank Pressure
Pressure is too HIGH
(greater than 35 psi)
Release air from the Air Bladder Valve on the Backpulse
Tank by gently pushing in the valve stem.
Pressure is too LOW or NO
pressure (less than 30 psi when
unboxed)
Add air using a compressor or hand pump. Check the
pressure again in 15 minutes and before leaving the site. If
pressure is lost, replace Backpulse Tank.
Connecting Pipe
Assemblies
Parts are cross-threaded
Undo connection, add Teflon® tape and slowly thread the
two parts together. If threads are stripped, replace the
part(s).
Leak is detected
Tighten connections.
Loosen connections that are too tight.
Reinstall the part with Teflon® tape.
