DMS Go+
Password protection
You can protect the access to the setup functions with a
password. This makes the access to the disabled func-
tions only possible after entering a password (see Sec-
tion
To activate the password protection, you have to set a
password. After saving the password, it is only possible
to switch to the
EXPERT
mode after entering the pass-
word.
Saving a new password
ATTENTION
After saving the password, it is only possible
to have full access to the instrument func-
tions after entering the password. If the pass-
word is lost, you have to reset the instrument
(see Section
You can save a password only if there is no password
protection yet or if the
EXPERT
mode is active (see
– In the function group
CONFIG
, select the function
PASSWORD
.
– Press one of the
left
or
right
arrow keys.
– Press the arrow keys to mark the first character for
the password.
– Press the center key of the keypad to select the
marked character.
– Choose other characters in the same way.
– Press the function key 2 (function
BKSP
) in order to
delete the last character.
– Press the function key 4 (function
NEXT
) and set the
password again to check it.
– Press the function key 4 (function
NEXT
). The pass-
word is saved and immediately valid.
