4 Principles of operation

During the coarse adjustment, the name of the function is
displayed in capital letters (
DISPLAY RANGE
), whereas
it is displayed in lower-case letters during the fine adjust-
ment (
display range
).
As long as a function is selected, you cannot toggle be-
tween the function groups. To toggle between the func-
tion groups, you have to press the function key 1 (func-
tion
HOME
) first in order to exit the function.
Key lock
If no function is selected, you can activate the key lock.
If the key lock is active, all keys except for the function
key 1 are locked and the instrument no longer reacts if
a key is pressed.
– Press the function key 1 (function
LOCK
) in order to
activate the key lock. The key function
LOCK
is then
displayed in the top left corner of the display screen.
– Press the function key 1 (function
LOCK
) once more
in order to deactivate the key lock. The instrument re-
acts again when a key is pressed.
Disabled functions
If the option
INSPECTOR
is chosen in the function
MENU MODE
, the functions are suppressed and cannot
be set.
