Error - No answer from Remote Modem

If an error is reported as shown in Figure 32 the remote modem cannot be detected, i.e. no VDSL
connection is established. Please proceed as follows:
1.  Check if VDSL cable is connected properly.
2.  If the cable is connected properly the local modem link configuration may be different from the remote
modem link configuration.
3.  Press the ’SET TO DEFAULT’ button (see

Set to Default Dialog section

)

4. Connect the other VDSL Modem to the PC, restart the VDSL Bridge Manager and press the ’SET TO
DEFAULT’ button.
5. A VDSL link will be re-established.

Error - COM port not accessible

If the Bridge Manager indicates that the selected COM port is not accessible (see Figure 33) please
make sure that no other application (e.g. HyperTerminal) is accessing the selected COM port. If the error
message still occurs it is recommended to reboot the PC. In this case the PC resources are corrupted.
