FACEBOOK:
Tap the Facebook icon
to launch it.
Sign in if you already have a Facebook account, or create a new one.
If you have a Facebook Account, you should be automatically synced with your contacts
etc after you log in.
This icon on the GBook is purely a Facebook Application launcher.
You can also use Facebook normally by going through the Browser, and logging in that
way if you prefer.
