Use the Windows Media Player to listen to CDs in Windows XP, 
Windows 2000, and Windows Me. For more information about the using the 
Windows Media Player, select

To play a CD:

1

Insert a CD into the CD/DVD drive.

2

If a message asks you to chose a CD player, select Windows Media Player. 
The Windows Media Player opens.

When the media player opens, click   (play).
