Power menu
The
Power
menu contains the power management settings and system
timeouts.

The following provides a brief overview of the options available through the
Power
menu.
Power button mode:
Sets power button functionality. Press the Spacebar to select
On/Off

Sus-
pend/Resume

PM Control:
Sets the power management mode environment. Press the Spacebar to
choose between
Battery

Disabled
or
Always
.
Power Management:
This
function
provides
preset
or
customized
power
management.
Setting
this
option
to
Minimum Battery Life
provides the notebook with best
system
performance. Setting this option to
Maximum Battery Life
provides the system
with best
battery performance. Setting this option to
Customize
allows you
to manually set the Standby, Suspend, Hard disk and Video timeouts. Setting
this option to
Medium
provides the system with a mixture of
system and
battery performance. Use the Spacebar to choose between options.
Standby timeout:
The time that the system waits before going into Standby mode. The
Power
Management:
function must be set to
Customize
before you can change this
field. Use the Spacebar to choose
