Chapter 5: Using the BIOS Setup Utility

Close the case, then reconnect the power cord, monitor, and keyboard. For
more information, see

“Closing the server case” on page 44

Turn on the server. A message appears saying that the CMOS Checksum
is bad, which means the BIOS has been cleared successfully.

Press

to load the default BIOS values and open the BIOS Setup utility.

All BIOS settings return to factory defaults, and all BIOS passwords are
erased.

Turn off the server, disconnect the power cord, and remove the side panel
again.

Remove the jumper from pins 3-4 of jumper J13 and place it over just one
of the pins for storage.

Close the case, reconnect the cords, then turn on the server.
