Note
The operating elements of the appliance are touch sensors. There is no need to
press on the buttons but only lightly touch them.
The following operating elements are provided.
Function
Usage
VACUUM SEALING
Contact bar
on the front side of the lid
With the appliance live, touch this metallic bar for opening and closing the lid. The
contact bar will be inactive, while a sealing or evacuating process is running.
However, the appliance will open and/or close and lock the lid automatically
during and after operation. On the LCD display an appropriate message is shown,
whenever the lid is moved: “OPEN” or “CLOSE”.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to open or close the lid violently!
For moving the lid manually, the locking pins at the sides of the lid must be
removed first.
However, for sealing and evacuating bags, the locking pins must be
installed correctly
(see: ‘Operation / Emptying the Drip Tray’).
SEAL
For sealing bags and foils only.
Via the SEAL function, you can seal foils and bags without evacuation. Use this
function for making your own bags of individual size or for sealing bags airtight
but under normal pressure.
Vac SEAL
For vacuum sealing air-tight bags only.
Before sealing, the appliance will remove the air from the bag, causing the foil
close-fitting to the contents of the bag.
The appliance will reduce the pressure within an air-tight bag by at least 0,6 bar.
The evacuating time will depend on the setting of the SPEED function, the size of
the bag, and the contents.
SPEED
Using this button, you can toggle between 2 different speed settings: NORMAL
and GENTLE. An LED will indicate the currently set speed.
In most cases, the pre-set NORMAL speed operation is suited for vacuum sealing
dry, solid, and tough food. With delicate, very moist, or fine-grained objects and
small bags, the GENTLE speed may be better. Via this setting, the vacuum pump
will be operated at reduced power.
FOOD
Press this button to select the type of food or object, you wish to vacuum seal:
MOIST food containing a lot of liquid, or DRY food or solid objects. An LED will
indicate the current setting.
