• If you wish to use the mix function, just press the „Mix“ button in short pulses. (See:

„Mix Function“)

•  If you wish to blend your ingredients, turn the blender control dial to the desired speed

selection (1 to 4) or switch to Pulse in short bursts. Turn the blender control dial to Off

when the desired consistency is reached. (See: „Blender Function“)

•  To use the heater function, you must adjust the timer with a cooking time first. For this,

simply press the buttons “+” or “–”. (See: „Timer Function“)

WARNING:

Even with the lid closed properly, steam can escape around the measuring

cup, when using the heater function and shortly thereafter. Do not hold your face, hands,

and arms over the lid to avoid scalds.

With the desired cooking time on the display select the required temperature setting by

pressing the corresponding Heater button. (See: „Heating Function“ and „Temperature

Control“) Thus, the heating plate starts heating.

Note:

The Heater works with a thermostat and so heat will increase or decrease accor-

dingly and bubbles will become bigger or smaller during cooking. You can adjust the

cooking time at any time during the cooking process, but a time must be selected to start

the heating plate. After adding broth or water, you may use the High button to bring the

mixture to the boil. As soon as the mixture is boiling, reduce heat to Simmer or Low and

set the timer to the required cooking time. Then wait until the ingredients are done. As

soon as the cooking time has passed, the COOK & MIX will beep 4 times.
  8. You can add more ingredients during operation.

WARNING: Always switch Off the mix and/or blender function before

removing the measuring cup to avoid damage and injuries by splashes.

Always replace the measuring cup before activating the mix/blender function.

First ensure that the Blender control dial is in Off position, then lift the measuring cup from

the lid and drop the ingredients through the opening in the lid. Replace the measuring

cup and continue processing your food.
  9. To blend the soup, use the blender function.

The blender function can only be used after the cooking time expired and the timer has

been switched off. When your ingredients are done, simply blend the soup until the

desired consistency is achieved.

For hot soups select level 1 or 2 at maximum.

Even for cold dishes, level 2 is sufficient in most cases. The mixer of the COOK & MIX

is working very effectively; and the best results will be reached rather in seconds than in

minutes. Possibly use the pulse function. Use the Blender no longer than 3 minutes in con-

tinuous operation to avoid overheating.
  10. As soon as your food reached the desired consistency, switch the Blender control

dial to the Off position and press the power button (power indicator flashes). Then

unplug the appliance from the power outlet.

WARNING: Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected to

the power supply.

Always switch Off the blender function, wait until the motor stops

completely and unplug the appliance before mounting or removing the glass jar. Do not

tilt or twist the glass jar on the motor base. When using the heater function, the exterior

of the glass jar, the lid and measuring cup and the bottom of the jar collar will become

very hot.

Do not touch the bottom of the jar collar

, and do not place the glass

jar on heat-sensitive surfaces after using the heater function. Grasp the glass jar only by
