4.9.1 PREPARATIONS FOR DISTRIBUTING
Carefully follow the instructions below and perform the
operations in the order they are listed
- Using the gear lever, put the tractor engine into neutral;
- Brake the tractor and if necessary, secure it with wooden blocks
sized according to the size of the wheels;
- Ensure that no-one can approach the tractor driver’s seat;
- From the driver’s seat of the tractor, raise the equipment;
- Operate the power take-off or the oleo-dynamic system of the
blower at a defined speed;
- Check that all the drive shafts are properly engaged.
- Carefully check moving parts, driving parts and distribution.
- Regulate the metering mechanism as described in the
preceding chapters;
- Adjust the metering unit according to the distribution table;
CAUTION
- To rotate the dosing devices, follow the instructions provided in
the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the Electrical
Distribution Control.
- Periodically check the results of working.
IMPORTANT
For a successful work it is useful to distribution on a small
stretch and check that the product are regularly distributed in
the ground.
4.9.2 HALF MACHINE SEEDING EXCLUSION FUNCTION
(mod. CENTAURO 500/600)
The system for conveying the seeds to the dosing devices is
equipped with a electrical system which enables the right or left
dosing device to be excluded from operation (Fig. 49).
4.8 BEFORE STARTING WORK
Before starting the working operation grease all parts indicated by
transfer nr. 15 (‘GREASE’) at page 47 of this leaflet.
Carrying out the dosing test
To rotate the dosing devices, follow the instructions provided in the
Operation and Maintenance Manual of the Electrical Distribution Control.
4.9 OPERATION START
Start the tractor and run the system at idle for a few minutes,
bringing constant pressure to the entire circuit in order to avoid
instability of the blower. Bring the blower up to the number of
revolutions that corresponds to the working conditions.
In humid climates, operate the fan with no-load for a few minutes
in order to dry out the tubes.
Hopper and tank filling
Hoppers and tanks can be filled by hand or using a lifter with a
capacity of at least 200 kg, which must be regularly approved by
the relative authorities. Please remember that lifting weights of
more than 25 kg requires more than one operator or the use of
hoisting apparatus. In the event of manual loading, use the
platform (A, Fig. 48) to reach the hopper of the equipment.
Always fold the platform as shown in Figure 48 (B) during the
work and during road transport.
WARNING
- All seed spreader tank loading and unloading operations must
be carried out with the equipment at a standstill, on the ground,
with the frame open, with the hand brake on, with the motor
switched off and the starter key removed from the control
panel. Make sure that chemicals are kept out of harm's way.
- All operations must be carried out by trained staff wearing
suitable protection (overalls, gloves, boots, masks etc) in a
clean, dust-free environment.
Overalls
