REPLACEMENT OF BELTS

- Unscrew the screws (M, Fig. 47) and remove the protective

casing.

- Loosen the belt tensioner completely (N, Fig. 47).
- Replace the worn belts with new ones.
- Put these at the optimum tension using the belt tensioner. Belt

play should not exceed 2 centimetres.

- Put the protective casing back in position and fix it in place with

the screws (M, Fig. 47).

GEAR TRANSFER CASESI

Oil level check

This should be performed daily throughout the period of use;
add oil, if required. The oil level must reach the height of the
central hole of the transfer case.

Changing the oil

The oil in the transfer cases must be changed after the first 50
hours of operation. After this, change the oil approx. every 100
hectares (250 acres) of operation and, in any case, at least once
a year. When changing the oil, use SAE 90 EP oil in the quantities
listed below:
- transfer case for P.T.O. at  540 rev/min ....... kg 0,2
- transfer case for P.T.O. at  1000 rev/min ..... kg 0,2

To discharge the used oil, extract it with a syringe or, alternatively,
disassemble the transfer case. To top up the oil, use the upper
hole of the transfer case.
