SmartScan
should be secondarily confirmed by qualified personnel ac-
cording to your health screening practices and procedures
using medical grade equipment.
Measurements taken from
SmartScan
should not be
solely or primarily relied upon to diagnose or rule out
a diagnosis for any disease.
SmartScan
is not a COVID
detection device. It is intended to be used to alert the user to
the presence of elevated body temperatures which may be an
indication of illness.
Check battery status prior to operating if running on battery
by quickly pressing and releasing the power/battery button.
The battery is designed for ~8hrs of operation and will eventu-
ally need to be recharged.
Stay within 30" walking path in front of the
SmartScan
while
approaching the walkthrough. We recommend adding an ap-
proach line with 6ft social distance markers.
The camera viewing angle is positioned to only view images
within the pathway of the walkthrough. This prevents detec-
tion of other faces waiting in line if two
SmartScan
s are placed
adjacent to each other.
Allow time during setup to fully charge battery for initial
install or to recharge if you plan to operate on battery for an
extended period.
The battery inside
SmartScan
will eventually need to be
recharged. Plan for 8hrs to charge when off or 16hrs while in
operation.
Remove masks if receiving multiple low temp reads or non-
reads.
Improperly worn masks or mask with prints and designs can
often lead to low temp reads or non-reads.
