Garrett Metal Detectors
Multiple walk-through metal detector operation refers to
units operating within 25' to 100' of each other. Refer to
your Garrett walkthrough user manual for details on best
installation practices to handle certain power require-
ments and to avoid cross talk (interference among units).
Detectors installed with Garrett
SmartScan
units will op-
erate efficiently in the scenarios presented in the user's
manual. It is recommended to keep
SmartScan
-enabled
detectors side by side (see Figure 5-1).
Do not angle a
SmartScan
-enable detector in such
a way that its IR camera might detect temperatures of
patrons in an adjacent line.
