FOR A 48” OR 60” UNIT — To replace a solenoid valve:
A 48” or 60” unit has TWO side manifolds in the LEFT LEG and TWO front gas pipes. Please refer to
“5.1 Sequence of Operation” and “7 Wiring Diagrams”.
To replace a solenoid valve connected to the
INNER
SIDE manifold:
1.
DANGER: Turn off gas supply and remove main power supply to the unit.
2. Remove the Left Side Leg Panel, Knobs and Valve Panel (see sections 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3).
3. Disconnect the manifold from the connector to the nipple at the back.
4. Remove the screw to release the solenoid bracket.
5. If necessary, release tension by loosening the screws on each side of the inlet box.
6. Remove the front gas tube by loosening the connectors at both ends.
tip
Use double-wrenching method to prevent the bottom fitting from moving while
turning the top fitting. Use 15/16 & 11/16 combination for 90 deg fitting, and 15/16 & 13/16
combination for straight fitting.
7. Disconnect wires and then pull the solenoid valves and side manifold assembly out.

Ensure you mark the wires and have a copy of the wiring diagram for reference.

Replace the
solenoid
in the
CORRECT
direction
and reassemble.
9.
WARNING: Check for gas leak.

To avoid pinching the wires, tuck the wires safely away before sliding back the Leg Panel.
