Preparing the pole saw

WARNING. The pole saw must never be operated without saw

chain oil, as this will damage the pole saw and the motor.

NOTE:

You have to buy the saw chain oil separately, it is not included. The oil

level must also be checked regularly during work.

Filling the oil tank

1) Remove the battery packs if you have already

installed the battery packs.
2) Open the oil tank cap (28) by turning it anti-

clockwise. (Fig. G1)
3) Fill a maximum of 135ml of saw chain oil into the

oil tank (32).
4) Replace the oil tank cap (28) and tighten by turning

it clockwise.
5) Check the oil level regularly and fill the oil tank with

saw chain oil if necessary.
6) To reduce or increase the oil flow from the oil tank

to the chain, turn the oil adjustment screw (34). Turn

it clockwise to increase and anti-clockwise to reduce

the oil flow to the chain. (Fig. G2)

WARNING. Remove all saw chain oil from

the oil tank if you are not going to use the

pole saw for a long time. The oil tank should also be emptied before the

pole saw is transported.

Adjusting the chain tension

WARNING. A saw chain that is not sufficiently tensioned or a saw

chain that is too tensioned can cause serious injuries and damage

to property.
NOTE: Check the chain tension before each use and adjust if necessary.

The pole saw is fully assembled when delivered, including guide bar and saw

chain.
