h) Once the oven’s components have cooled enough to handle, with the zero gas still
flowing, switch the
Sample Isolation Block
valve (V1) and the
Vent Isolation Block
valve
(V2) to the
Off
position, thus preventing toxic sample gas from reentering the system
once the zero gas is turned off.
i) Close the
Zero Air Flow Control
valve.
j) Remove the Fibre Optic Cables from both ends of the measurement cell. Carefully hang
the cables in a location where the ends of the cables cannot not make contact with
anything. It is recommended that the ends be covered with the orange protectors after
the fibres have cooled.
k) Loosen one of the cell tubing fittings to vent positive pressure zero gas that may be
trapped in the sample system.
l) To remove the measurement cell assembly, disconnect the three (3) interconnecting
tubing lines. These are:
•
Sample Stream
•
Vent Stream
•
Zero / Purge Air
m) Remove the 6-32 x 3/8" screw securing the cell RTD to the cell block, using a 7/64" ball
driver. Carefully place the cell RTD behind the cell block where it will be out of the way.
n) Loosen the two (2) ¼-20 x 2" heater bracket mounting screws from the cell block face
using a 3/16" ball driver. Before removing the two (2) screws, place your fingers under
the cell block to catch the plate as you release the last screw.
Ensure that the sample and vent stream disconnections are made on the
cell side of the sample and vent block valves.
