• Locate the unit away from heat sources. Heat can build up inside the cabinet, caus-
ing undue wear to electrical components.
• Take into account the length of the cables to connected to the unit when selecting
an installation location.
• Fix the unit firmly so that rough seas and vibrations do not cause the unit to move
in any manner.
• Locate the unit away from areas which may be subject to splash or rain.
• Leave sufficient space at the sides and rear of the unit to facilitate maintenance.
• A magnetic compass will be affected if the equipment is placed too close to the
magnetic compass. Observe the compass safe distances at the front of this manual
to prevent interference to a magnetic compass.
• Vibration at the mounting location should be minimum.
1. Referring to the outline drawing at the back of this manual, drill four holes (

in the mounting location.
2. Fix the unit firmly in place using

20 self-tapping screws.
