LAN Statistics
•
TX Total
Total of packets transmitted successfully.
•
TX Dropped SW
Total of packets dropped by the software; refers to packets to be trans-
mitted.
•
TX Dropped Link
Total of packets dropped because no connection has been set up;
refers to packets to be transmitted.
•
TX Collision
Total of packets which were dropped due to collisions on the
medium; refers to the packets to be transmitted.
•
TX Late Collision
Total of all packets dropped due to late collisions. A late collision
occurs if at least 60 bytes of the packet have been transmitted (50.2
microseconds) before the collision occurs. This error points to an
error in the network topology, since such delays should not even
occur in large-scale networks.
The lost packets will be retransmitted by the higher network layers
after a defined time interval.
•
TX Excessive Collision
Total of packets where collisions occurred repeatedly.
•
TX Total
Total of packets received successfully.
•
RX Dropped HRT
Total number of packets dropped by the Ethernet PHY; refers to the
packets to be received.
•
RX Dropped DSR
Total number of packets dropped because they could not be inte-
grated into the queue; refers to the packets to be received.
•
RX Dropped SW
Total number of packets dropped because they could not be pro-
cessed by the software; refers to the packets to be received.
•
RX Overflow
Total of packets which were dropped due to insufficient buffer; refers
to the packets to be received.
•
RX Too Long
Total of packets whose length exceeds the standard Ethernet packet
length (> 1518 bytes).
