ComPoint exclusively operates according to 802.11b and forces all
clients to adapt themselves.
• 802.11g only:
ComPoint exclusively operates according to 802.11g.
802.11b clients do not have access.
• Mixed 802.11g and 802.11b
ComPoint adapts itself to the technology used by the clients.
• Mixed 802.11g and 802.11b long:
ComPoint adapts itself to the technology used by the clients. All
clients must support the data rates 1 and 2 Mbps (basic rates).
Advanced Configuration

Transmit Power
Allows you to set the maximum value for the radiated antenna power.
The actually radiated antenna power may be lower than the maxi-
mum value set, depending on the data rate transmitted. The maxi-
mum value for the available transmit power depends on the
regulations of the country in question.

RTS Threshold
RTS means Request To Send and is the threshold value from which on
the access point will send an RTS signal into the wireless cell. For this
value, the default setting 2347 should be used. You should use slightly
minor values only if an irregular data flow is observed. The smaller
the value, the more bandwidth will be lost for RTS signals. As a result,
the data rate of the wireless cell will decrease.

Fragmentation Threshold
Number of bytes to be transmitted within a packet. The maximum
value is 2346 bytes/packet. In areas with much wireless traffic you
should define shorter packet lengths. With shorter packets, packet
loss is less probable than with large packets.
