ANNUALLY
IN ADDITION
1. Replace the ignition electrode(s).
2. If the unit utilizes a flame rod, replace.
3. Clean all strainers in the thermal fluid system.

4. Take a half litre sample of thermal fluid and return to the thermal fluid manufacturer for analysis.
5. Schedule your local Fulton representative or factory service technician to perform annual
preventative maintenance.
4.4.1
TEMPERATURE LIMIT(S)
Adjust the set point(s) of the temperature limit(s) down to a point lower than the PV (process
variable is typically the current fluid temperature at the heater outlet). Solid-state controls will
deactivate a control relay powering a set of n.c. contacts in the interlock circuit. Analogue controls
will open their contacts in the interlock circuit. The trip temperature should be within 5 degrees of
the PV temperature. Reset temperature limit if reset exists.
