SETUP & PREPARATION (cont.)
1.
Place pressure washer on a flat, level
surface with the engine stopped.
2.
Remove the oil filler cap and wipe the
dipstick with a clean rag. Check the oil level
by inserting the dipstick in the filler hole
without screwing it in and then removing it
again (fig. 16).
3.
If the oil level is below the end of the
dipstick, refill ( use funnel (20), do not
tip pressure washer) until it registers on
the halfway mark of the dipstick (fig. 17).
Use premium quality 4-stroke engine oil.
Recommended SAE30 or 10W30 for most
climate conditions in Australia.
Note:
Low Oil Cutout will shut off the engine
if the oil level becomes lower than required.
This protects your pressure washer engine from operating without proper
lubrication.
If the engine shuts off and oil level is within specifications check to see if the
pressure washer is sitting at an angle that forces oil to shift. Place on an even
surface, if the engine fails to start, the oil level may not be sufficient to deactivate
low oil level sensor. Add oil as described above.
Adding engine oil
Note:
The petrol pressure washer is shipped without oil and must be filled before
starting. Engine sump capacity 600 ml. (Use SAE30 or 10W30 oil).
