5.2 Setting up the floorstand model

If you are not installing a PRIMERGY TX2540 M1 floorstand model, skip
this section and continue reading at section
"Installing/removing the rack
model" on page 54 .

Ê
Transport the server to the place where you want to set it up.
Ê
Unpack the server (see section "Unpacking the server" on page 52 ).

Set up the server.

CAUTION!
– The device must be protected from direct sunlight.
– The required minimum distances for operation and maintenance
areas must be adhered to.
– The server must be accessible at the rear for connection to other
devices (e.g. memory subsystem).
– The mains plug must be accessible easily and safely.
– There must be a clearance of at least 200 mm in front of and
behind the server to ensure adequate ventilation of the
subsystem.

Wire the server. Read the information in section "Connecting devices to the
server" on page 56 and section "Notes on connecting/disconnecting cables"
on page 60 .
Ê
Connect the system to the mains (see section "Connecting the server to the
mains" on page 58 ).
5.2.1 Mounting the anti-tilt bracket
Ê
Place the server on the anti-tilt bracket.
Ê
Fasten the anti-tilt bracket using the two knurled screws.
