1 Introduction
The PRIMERGY RX2530 M1 is a rack server that provides high performance,
expandability and energy efficiency in 1 height unit (HU) space saving housing.
Thus, the PRIMERGY RX2530 M1 is ideal for virtualization and cloud, small
databases as well as for high performance computing thanks to the top
performance of the new Intel® Xeon® E5 product family. Moreover, the
RX2530 M1 delivers a great expandability, by supporting up to 1536 GB of
memory, ten hard disk drives and cost-saving LAN options to ensure future
requirements are met and budgets are saved. Thanks to the highly efficient
power supply units with an efficiency rate of 96% and the new power
management this will result in lower operational costs.
The modular power supplies are common units for the PRIMERGY mono- and
dual-socket servers allowing to “right-size” the energy demands for specific
requirements. In line with the Cool-safe Advanced Thermal Design (ATD) they
provide highest level of power efficiency in the IT industry. Additionally the new
generation of server provides DynamicLoM technology so that users can now
choose the type of network adapter they want. This new DynamicLoM provides
the ability to customize server’s networking of today and the ability to change to
meet future needs without overhauling server infrastructure.

DDR4 memory technology offers increased application performance, improved
security and efficiency to be able to cope with data growth. User-inspired design
