Chapter 6 Technical Information

Booting (Main menu)
Press the [Print Screen] key once or press the [Ctrl] key twice to display the following Main menu
window.
If a password has been assigned, enter the password and click [OK] to display the Main menu.
Changing or deleting the Server Blade name can only be performed in the slot where the Server Blade
is installed in.
An arbitrary character string may be entered in the Server Blade name of each slot at the time of
purchase. It can be changed after installing the Server Blade.
The items, which were set in the Host Name of Blade Info group under the Server Blade group using
the Management Blade Web UI, are reflected in the Server Blade name.

[Name]
To choose the name or slot number of the Server Blade for selecting and sorting the
Server Blade.
[Slot]
Server Blade name
To select the Server Blade to be operated. The selecting procedure is as follows.
• Double-click
• Press the [Enter] key with the cursor pointing.
If entering some initial alphabets of the sever blade name to be selected with keys
when [Name] is enabled, the cursor moves to the target.
If entering the slot number to be selected with keys when [Slot] is enabled, the
cursor moves to the target.

Status display
To display the Server Blade status.
If the status is not displayed properly, reset the advanced KVM module in the
Management Blade's Web UI.

•
Firmware is upgrading.
•
Server blade is offline.
•
Server blade is being selected.

Click this item to display the Setup menu.
[Commands]
Click this item to display the Commands menu.
