Chapter 6 Technical Information

Management after the notice
Perform the following setup promptly, after a notification of end of life time.

Contact an office listed in the "Contact Information" of "Start Guide".

Check the "Contact Check Box" of corresponding PSU in the Web UI of the
Management Blade.
1. Click [System Property] - [Environ./Maintenance] - [Power Supply].
2. Check the "Contact Check Box" of the corresponding PSU in the "Power Supply
Live Time Counter".
The date checked in the "Contact Check Box" is displayed in the "Expiry Reporting Date".

Replace the PSU/dummy PSU with a new one.

Click [Reset] for the corresponding PSU in the Web UI of the Management
Blade.
1. Click [System Property] - [Environ./Maintenance] - [Power Supply].
2. Click [Reset] for the corresponding PSU in the "Power Supply Live Time Counter".
The check in "Contact Check Box" is removed and "Status" returns to "Healthy".

Messages notified by SNMP trap
The following explains the messages notified by SNMP trap when the lifetime of non-durable
components has been reached.
If a message is displayed, check the event log and replace the recorded component that has reached its
service life.
The following table lists each message and the appropriate action.
Message Description
Action
Servers % live time has exceeded the limited count.
This message signals that a component's service life
has been reached. Check the event log and contact an
office listed in the "Contact Information" of "Start
Guide". The Management Agent System Name is
displayed in "%s".
