VGA
Video Graphics Array. A video display standard
originally introduced by IBM with the PS/2 series of
personal computers. Provides resolutions of 720 x 400.
VRAM
Video Random Access Memory. A memory dedicated to
video display data and control.
WEP
Wired Equivalent Privacy
WEP is an encryption algorithm that is part of the
802.1x standard. WEP works by encrypting data while
being transmitted over radio waves.
Wi-Fi Compatible
Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) Identifies that the product has
passed the interoperability test, supplied by the WECA
(Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance), which guar-
antees the interoperability of wireless IEEE 802.11 LAN

WFM
Wired for Management isa broad-based initiative to
reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of business
computing without sacrificing power and flexibility.
Write Protect
Prevent alteration of the binary state of all bits in a
storage media. Example: all information on a device
such as a floppy diskette; a block of space in a storage
media such as a partition of a hard drive; a file or direc-
tory of floppy diskette or hard drive.
XGA
Extended graphics array. Standard that provides
resolutions of 640x480 or 1024x764, supporting 64k
colors.
