PART Ⅲ INSPECTION AND SERVICE MAINTENANCE FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE
■ENGINE
●
Before handling fuel, remove static electricity by touching metal such as the
machine. Never smoke or keep anything which may cause fire near the
machine. Otherwise, the fuel ignites and fire may occur.
(1)
Remove all the fuel from fuel tank.
(2)
Remove fuel from fuel cock and filter.
(3)
Remove fuel from carburetor.
(Close fuel cock while the engine is running)
(4)
Set throttle lever at the lowest position of " ".
●
Use of genuine fuel stabilizer is recommended to prevent gasoline from
gumming up in carburetor and fuel system.
■BATTERY
●
When storing the machine with battery attached, disconnect from negative
lead (-) of battery. Otherwise, rats may bite wire causing short-circuit, which
may result in fire.
●
When storing battery for a long time, detach
it from the machine and store it in a dry and
shady place with temperature from -5
℃
to 15
℃
.
●
Electricity is discharged when the battery is
not used, too. Recharge on a regular basis.
Summer ・・・・・ Once per month
Winter ・・・・・ Every two months

■HOW TO STORE
●
Put sheet cover on the machine after heating part has cooled down sufficiently.
●
Put a board at flat and well-ventilated area
in a place without humidity, dust, and
inflammable object. Place the machine on the
board.
●
Set travel clutch lever and work clutch lever
at "Off". Set chute deflector at "Far".
Set throttle lever at " " and lower auger
housing to the ground.
●
Remove engine key.
●
Cover the machine with sheet cover.

Request regular inspection and service during off season to prepare
for the use in next season.
