PART Ⅱ OPERATION BEFORE USING THE MACHINE

Inspections below require engine start.
Refer to "Start/Stop the engine" (p.30 - 31) and carry out inspection.
●
When starting engine indoors, open the windows for sufficient ventilation.
If the place is poorly ventilated, poisoning may occur due to exhaust gas,
which is very dangerous.
●
Set travel clutch lever at "Off" and change lever at "N.Neutral" before
starting engine.
●
When carrying out inspection with engine started, never approach rotating
parts and heating parts.
●
Check if covers are attached correctly before starting the engine.
●
When starting the engine, give a signal aloud to surrounding people.
●
Be sure to remove engine key from engine switch after stopping the engine.
The engine key may be lost and unexpected accident may occur.
■BLOWER BRAKE
●
If malfunction is found in inspection, ask your dealer for service immediately.
Start engine, set work clutch lever at "On" to rotate auger and blower, and set throttle lever at
highest position of " " to open up the engine.
●
Check if auger and blower stop immediately when setting work clutch lever at "Off".
■AUGER HOUSING CONTROL LEVER
Start engine and inspect below.
Up/down adjustment (all the models)
●
Check if auger housing goes up when pulling
auger housing control lever. Check if auger
housing goes down when pushing auger
housing control lever.
Right/left adjustment (MRA-Ai/MRA/MR only)
●
Pull auger housing control lever to raise
auger housing. Check if auger housing tilts

to the left when pushing the lever to the left.
Check if auger housing tilts to the right when pushing the lever to the right.
●
If malfunction is found in inspection, ask your dealer for service.
■CHUTE CONTROL LEVER
Start engine and inspect below.
●
Check if chute deflector faces down (near)
when pushing chute control lever. Check if
chute deflector faces up (far) when pulling
the lever.
●
Check if chute turns to the left when pushing
chute control lever to the left. Check if chute
turns to the right when pushing the lever to
the right.

●
Do not keep operating chute
control lever when chute and chute deflector are locked.
●
If malfunction is found in inspection, ask your dealer for service.
