SELF-TIMER MODE

Set the Mode dial to “
”.
Compose the shot so that the subject is roughly
in the center of the viewfinder or LCD monitor
and then press the shutter button to set the
correct exposure for the subject and start the
timer running.

Check that the lens is clean. If it is dirty, clean the
lens as described on P.69.

Do not stand in front of the camera when you press
the shutter button as this will result in the incorrect
brightness (exposure) setting.

When you have finished the menu settings,
press the “MENU / EXE” button to apply the
settings. These settings are retained even when
the camera is switched off.

Press the shutter button to take the picture.

The photographed image appears on the
LCD monitor.

To record the image, press the “MENU/EXE”
button.

If you leave the batteries out of the camera for 5
minutes or longer, or remove the batteries while
specifying the camera settings, the settings may
revert to the factory default settings.

If you are not satisfied with the photographed image,
press “
” to stop the image being recorded onto the
SmartMedia. Then take the shot again.
