(1) Connect the camera to the PC with
the USB cable.
(2) Copy the image files in the camera
to a folder on the PC.
(3) Disconnect the USB cable from the
camera.
(1) Check that the PC recognizes the
camera over a PTP connection.
(2) Check that the image files have
been copied to the PC.

Erase mode check Erase
(1) Select “Erase” -> “Erase all” from
the menu and then press the “OK”
button.
(2) Select "OK" and press the “OK”
button.
(3) Turn the camera off.
Disconnect the SD card from the
camera.
(1) Check that an erase message such
as the following appears:
Japan: “
OK?”
Overseas: “ERASE ALL OK?”
China: “
OK?”
(2) Check that the recorded images are
erased.

LCD dust/defect
check
Playback
(1) Insert the LCD monitor inspection
card.
(2) Start up the camera in Playback
mode.
(3) Play back a completely black image.
(4) Play back a completely white (75%)
image.
(5) Change the setting with the EVF/
LCD button.
(6) Set the power switch to OFF.
(7) Disconnect the LCD monitor
inspection card.
(2) Press the <Playback> button.
(3) Check that there are no noticeable
dust flecks or stains (bright spots,
etc.) on the screen.
(4) Check that there are no noticeable
dust flecks or stains (smears,
flashing points, etc.) on the screen.
(5) Play the above 2 frames and perform
the same checks.

Movie mode
(1) Insert the SD card and set the DC
COUPLER CP-04 and POWER
CABLE JIG to the camera.
(2) Set the power supply voltage.
(3) Set the Mode dial to AUTO mode
and turn the camera on.
(4) Check that the pop-up flash opens
and closes and check the backup.
(5) Select the mode dial to Movie
shooting mode.
(6) Set the pre-end voltage.
(7) Set the end voltage.
(2) 5.00 V±0.1 V
(3) Check that the camera start up
normally.
(4) Press the flash pop-up button to pop
up the flash unit.
Check that forced flash firing is
displayed.
Check that the flash mode reverts to
AUTO when the 4-way key (right) is
pressed after checking.
(6) 4.45 V±0.05 V
Check that the battery-low warning
appears.
(7) 4.07 V±0.05 V
Check that the zoom retracts and
the camera turns off after the battery
low warning (end) appears.
