Note!
When connecting the
welding torch, check that
-
all connections are connected
properly

all cables, leads and hose-
packs are undamaged and
correctly insulated.

Connecting up
the gas cylinder
Warning!
A welding machine that topples over can easily kill someone. See to
it that you place it on an even, firm floor in such a way that it stands firmly. Do
NOT fit a 50l gas cylinder to the following welding machines:

VS 3400/4000 compact system with no inserted wirespool or fitted
FK 3000

VS 3400-2 separated version
-
VS 4000-2/5000-2 separated version with no inserted wirespool or
fitted FK 3000

Stand the gas cylinder on the floor of
the trolley and secure it by fixing the
securing chain around a point in the
top third of the cylinder - but never
around the neck of the cylinder
2.
Connect the gas cylinder:
- Take off the protective cap from
the gas cylinder
- Briefly turn the gas-cylinder valve
anticlockwise, to blow off any dust
and dirt
- Inspect the seal on the pressure
regulator
- Screw the pressure regulator onto
the gas cylinder and tighten it
- Attach the gas hose to the pressu-
re regulator
