Proper use
The power source is intended solely for MMA and TIG welding and arc air gou-
ging.
Any use above and beyond this purpose is deemed improper. The manufacturer
shall not be liable for any damage resulting from such use.
Proper use also includes:
- Following all the instructions contained in the Operating Instructions
- Performing all stipulated inspection and servicing work
Setup regulati-
ons The power source is tested to degree of protection IP 23, meaning:
- Protection against penetration by solid foreign bodies greater than 12 mm in
diameter
- Protection against spraywater at any angle up to 60° to the vertical
The power source can be set up and operated outdoors in accordance with de-
gree of protection IP 23. However, the built-in electrical components must be
protected against direct wetting.

Place devices on a solid, level surface in such a way that they remain stable.
The venting duct is a very important safety device. When choosing the device lo-
cation, ensure that the cooling air can enter and exit unhindered through the air
ducts on the front and back of the device. Any electroconductive metallic dust
(e.g. from grinding work) must not be allowed to get sucked into the device.
Mains connec-
tion The devices are designed for the mains voltage specified on the rating plate. The
fuse protection required for the mains lead can be found in the "Technical data"
section. If there is no mains cable or mains plug on your device, fit one that con-
forms to national standards.
