5.4 PVR
5.4.1 Record Setting
You can enable or disable the Time shift function in this window. The Timeshift buffer is set to 2
hours, if enabled, this cannot be changed.

button to confirm your choice, and
exit the dialogue.
Hard Drive
: If this option is „on‟, the hard disc is always „spun up‟ (i.e. operating). If
the option is „off‟, the hard disc goes into sleep mode. Whenever you perform a disc-
based operation (i.e. recording or playback), the disc is spun-up. This saves
minimal
power, but it takes time for the drive to „wake from sleep‟.
Time shift:
If selected „on‟, the STB will automatically record the channel being
watched (to a temporary buffer – not a file). You can pause, rewind etc. „live TV‟ in this
mode. If selected „off‟, press the
PAUSE
button to activate the temporary record buffer.
Jump time:
If „Yellow‟ key is pressed during file playback (when time bar is displayed),
the file playback will jump the set time.
5.4.2 Scheduled Recordings
Scheduled Recordings shows the programmes that are being recorded now and have been
booked for recording but have not yet been recorded.
