HDW
“HARDWARE” (Default setting) – When this option is selected, the MIDI ON message
(127) will be sent whenever the connected HW switch is turned ON, and the OFF
message (0) will be sent whenever it is switched OFF.
Tip: Use this setting if your connected HW is a TOGGLE/LATCHING switch
…OR if you are using a MOMENTARY switch and want momentary MIDI ON/OFF
messages
(Example: If you want to press and hold a footswitch to activate an effect, and
release the footswitch to deactivate the effect.)
NOTE:
In this mode, whenever a new preset is loaded, the switch state will be polled and
the corresponding MIDI message sent. This allows “what you hear” to be kept in sync
with “what you see” if the switch has an LED, for example.
AUT
“AUTO-OFF” – When you step once on the connected switch, both the ON and OFF MIDI
messages will be sent in quick sequence (~250ms apart).
Use this setting if the MIDI device you are using requires successive ON/OFF messages
to activate.
