5. Installation
TIP
When connecting the CAN cable, make sure that the
terminating switch is in the correct position.
The correct position of the switch depends on the topology of
the CAN network.

Connecting the CAN Interface:
1.
Attach the cable of the CAN interface to the MC 1,5/ 3-
GF-3,81 connector.
Observe the assignment of the pins High (H), Low (L) and
Ground (G) at the CAN connector.
2.
Connect the MC 1,5/ 3-GF-3,81 connector to the CAN
connector.
5.4 Connecting the Power Supply
TIP
The measuring device has an integrated protection against
reverse polarity.
If the polarity of the power supply is incorrect, the measuring
device is protected against damage.

Connecting the power supply:
1.
Switch off the power supply.
2.
Attach the cable of the power supply to the MC 1,5/ 2-
GF-3,81 connector.
Observe the pin assignments (+) and (-) on the PWR
connector.
3.
Connect the MC 1,5/ 2-GF-3,81 connector to the PWR
connector.
4.
Switch on the power supply.
