Audio troubleshooting
AUDIO TROUBLESHOOTING
Audio unit display Rectification
CD ERROR
PLEASE CHECK CD
General error message for CD fault conditions, such
as cannot read the CD, data-CD inserted, etc. Also,
indicates possible mechanism fault on single CD unit.
Ensure disc is loaded correct way up. Clean and retry,
or replace disc with known music disc. If error persists
contact your Ford Dealer
NO CD
NO CDS
NO CD #
Message to indicate “No CD(s)” contained within the
mechanism (single CD player empty, 6CD player or CD-
changer completely empty, 6CD player or CDchanger
selected position number # empty). Load a disc into CD
player
HIGH TEMP
CD DRIVE HIGH TEMP
Ambient temperature too hot – unit will not work until it
has cooled down.
CDC CHECKING Message to indicate the radio is starting the CDDJ
CODE ---- #
Message to prompt the user for the Keycode and
indicate the number of input attempts. Displayed at
power on after audio unit has had battery power supply
interrupted. Enter keycode as described in chapter
entitled Audio system security
WAIT ##:##
Message to inform the user to wait until next keycode
entry attempt can be made. Follow instructions as
described in section Audio system security
TRIES #
Message displayed when turning the audio unit on
whilst in keycode entry mode. Indicates the number
of incorrect input attempts. Follow instructions as
described in chapter Audio system security
LOCKED
Message to inform user that radio security system
has locked the radio after repeated incorrect keycode
inputs. Contact your Ford Dealer.
KEYCODE.... Display message to prompt the user for the keycode
INCORRECT
Message to inform the user that the entered keycode
is incorrect. Follow instructions as described in chapter
Audio system security
DATA CD
An incompatible CD has been inserted (for example not
an audio CD or MP3 CD)
