Vehicle battery
USING BOOSTER CABLES
CAUTIONS
Connect batteries with only the
same nominal voltage.
Always use booster cables with
insulated clamps and adequate
size cable.
Do not disconnect the battery
from the vehicle’s electrical
system.
To connect the booster cables
A Flat battery vehicle
B Booster battery vehicle
1 Positive connection cable
2 Negative connection cable
Position the vehicles so that they do

not touch one another.
Switch off the engine and any
2.
electrical equipment.
Lift up the battery positive
3.
connection point cover. For item
location, refer to the appropriate

(page 101).
Connect the positive (+) terminal
