CHECK CIRCUIT 784 (LB/BK) FOR SHORT TO GROUND
Measure the resistance between GEM C223-10, circuit 784 (LB/BK), and ground.
Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
RECONNECT instrument cluster C214. GO to
C8
.
No
REPAIR circuit 784 (LB/BK). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.

CHECK THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
Connect a jumper wire between GEM C223-10, circuit 784 (LB/BK), and ground.
Does the 4X4 LOW indicator illuminate?
Yes
GO to
C9
.
No
CHECK the indicator bulbs. If OK, REPAIR the instrument cluster printed circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the
system for normal operation.

CHECK CIRCUIT 783 (GY) FOR OPEN
Instrument Cluster C214
Measure the resistance between GEM C223-14, circuit 783 (GY), and instrument cluster C214-3, circuit 783
(GY).
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to
C10
.
No
REPAIR circuit 783 (GY). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.

CHECK CIRCUIT 783 (GY) FOR SHORT TO GROUND
Measure the resistance between GEM C223-14, circuit 783 (GY), and ground.
