Handset Menu Setting
In standby mode, press the SET/OK key to enter the menu setting, there are five “sub-menus”
under the handset menu item.
PHONE BOOK
CALL LOG
BS SETTINGS
HS SETTINGS
REGISTRATION
Press the direction keys to adjust the above items and then press SET/OK key to confirm the
selected item. Return to the spurious menu by pressing PHONEBOOK (
) key and quit from
the menu by pressing SWITCH OFF key.
NOTE: The system will time out if you leave more than 30 seconds between key presses.
Details of each item are shown in the following parts:
Handset Menu function 1: PHONE BOOK
Each individual Handset has its own phonebook, independent of each other handset, with a
maximum of 50 entries, each name a maximum of 12 characters, each number a maximum
of 20 digits and a melody selected from 1 to 10. Press SET/OK key, use the direction keys to
select PHONE BOOK. Then press SET/OK key to confirm.
LIST
When the LCD displays PHONE BOOK, press SET OK key to confirm, and the LCD displays
LIST, press SET OK key to display the first entry in the phonebook memory, then review the
phone book records by using the direction keys key or press numerical key to jump straight to
the first entry beginning with the corresponding letter, and then scroll up or down.
Shortcut: In the idle mode, press PHONEBOOK key, and the handset display will show the first
entry in the phonebook memory. Press the direction keys key to scroll through the phonebook
memory one by one, or press numerical key to jump straight to the first entry beginning with the
corresponding letter, and then scroll up or down.
The user can also make a call from phonebook, refer to the “View & dial out phone numbers
from phonebook “ in OPERATION part.
NEW ENTRY
This function allows the user to add an entry to the phone book.
Press the direction keys to select NEW ENTRY and press SET/OK key to enter. If the
phonebook is full, an appropriate message will be presented to the user as shown MEM
IS FULL. If a free phonebook entry is available, the cursor for the name flashes.
Enter the name using the alphanumeric keys and press SET/OK key to confirm.
If you make a mistake, press R/CLR key to correct.
Enter the number and use the direction keys to select the melody to be stored and press
SET/OK key to confirm.
EDIT RECORD
This function allows the user to modify a phonebook record.
