Guideline
After storage
If the impeller/propeller is frozen, it must be thawed by immersing
the pump in liquid before operating the pump.
NOTICE:
Never use a naked flame to thaw the unit.
Long-term storage
If the pump is stored more than 6 months, the following apply:
• Before operating the pump after storage, it must be inspected with special attention to the seals and
the cable entry.
• The impeller/propeller must be rotated every other month to prevent the seals from sticking together.
Reinstall the locking device
If the pump will be transported in the horizontal position, then the impeller/propeller must be locked
during transport with the locking device.
1. Reinstall the locking device.
2. Clamp the locking device into position by turning and locking it by hand as tightly as possible.
3. Tighten a further 1/8 to 1/3 of a turn according to the torque specified in the cross-sectional drawing
in the Part List.
